About Ta’pu Muin
“Bringing safe, culturally competent healing and wellness experiences to all people”
Kwe’! N’in talusi Gigpesan Ward, the bears of Ta’pu Muin (2 Bear) Indigenous Wellness. I am a two-spirit, Mi’kmaq cultural practitioner who specializes in traditional wellness and medicine knowledge. I was born and raised in Metepenagiag Mi’kmaq Nation in New Brunswick.
My early background is in addictions counselling and community outreach. I have worked in community for over a decade. Through this work and my own sobriety journey, I began my medicine work and cultural connection. I am a fire keeper and knowledge keeper who has been fortunate enough to learn from some of the most knowledgable elders in Mi’kmaki. I am a lifelong learner and will forever be on my spiritual journey.
I chose to call my practice Ta’pu Muin (Mi’kmaw for “Two Bear”) to honour my spirit guides (the white and black bear) as well as my two-spirit identity. I have been fortunate enough to take my wellness promotion and cultural work across Turtle Island to a variety of conferences, events and organizations. Please see my “Workshops” pages for more in-depth information on my services. Welalin/ Thank you for being here with me.
